About Me

Areas of Expertise

I have experience working with neurotypical and neurodiverse adults, who for various reasons, are dealing with difficult issues in their lives that cause them to experience depression, anxiety, and decreased independence in their lives. If you are being effected by a similar situation, we can work together to understand and process these feelings and to take advantage of your inner-strength to resolve the negative effects of these issues.

Illness and Rehabilitation

As a therapist with a background in cognitive neuroscience, I’ve supported many individuals facing neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. These illnesses affect more than just memory or movement—they also bring emotional challenges that can feel overwhelming. In our work together, I help clients process these changes and find ways to maintain a sense of self and connection.

I also work with people living with chronic illnesses, offering a space to explore the emotional impact of their diagnosis and to build coping strategies that support both their mental and physical well-being.

Community Pressures

I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse communities who struggle to balance their personal well-being with the expectations and pressures of their cultural or social environments. It can be deeply challenging to reconcile the life we want with the roles or obligations we feel we must fulfill. At times, we may hesitate to share our feelings with those closest to us—either out of fear of being misunderstood or because we don’t want to cause pain to the people we care about.

If you find yourself in this situation, I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where your feelings can be acknowledged and respected. Together, we can explore what matters most to you and work toward solutions that honor both your emotional needs and your values.

Older Adults

I have experience working with adults facing a range of life challenges that can lead to depression, anxiety, and a loss of independence. These struggles can feel overwhelming and isolating, but you don’t have to face them alone. If you're dealing with similar difficulties, I hope we can work together to better understand and process what you’re going through—and find meaningful ways to improve your well-being and overall quality of life.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and cognitive neuroscientist with years of experience supporting individuals through the complexities of aging, cultural transitions, chronic illness. and trauma. With a dual background in clinical practice and neuroscience research, I bring both scientific insight and compassionate care to the therapeutic process.

I work with individuals who identify themselves as neurotypical or neurodiverse, facing anxiety and depression related to work and family stress, cultural adjustment challenges, the emotional impact of chronic health conditions, and trauma. I also have extensive experience supporting individuals affected by neurodegenerative diseases, offering care to both patients and caregivers. My research on cognitive changes in normal aging has deepened my understanding of the aging process and its effects on mental health.

My therapeutic approach is integrative and evidence-based, tailored to each person’s unique experiences and needs. I offer therapy sessions in person, virtually, or through a flexible combination of both, ensuring accessible and personalized care for every client.
